School Open House - Poster/Flyer Design

 The poster:

The Flyer (Front):

Flyer (Back)

For this assignment, we were to design both a poster and flyer for use in our school's upcoming open house. Trying to follow our school colour scheme of mostly blue and orange, I incorporated our logos onto a blue feathery textured background, so as to incorporate the idea of our mascot; the blue phoenix. So as to follow the orange "amazing inside" text trend, I repeated this throughout the poster and flyer wherever present. So as to be easily read, all informational text is portrayed in white. This is also to maintain a sense of professionalism. I tried to maintain a consistent font, although in both logos, something different is used. This made the overall feat more difficult. As remedy, I could have removed one of the logos, however this would have left far too much empty space, and adding text to compensate would have been displeasing to the eye. Personally, I believe the flyer to have been more successful because it has less information and more graphics in a condensed space. I find the overall unity to be more prominent, and therefore more effective.
